Jesus House Elkridge is a praying church. That is one mandate we know we have received from God in addition to others.

We believe that we have power with God in the place of prayer. We believe that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much/makes tremendous power available.

In the words of Jesus, God’s house shall be called a house of prayer. He also spoke a parable to this end that ‘men ought always to pray and not faint’. It is within these two scriptures that we here at Jesus House Elkridge gets the force that propels and keeps us praying, having the confident assurance that whatsoever we ask in his name we’ll receive.

The Prayer Ministry has two (2) prayer focus-groups that address specific pray needs in various areas of life and ministry. Weekly Prayer Meeting times/schedule is as follows. Monday: 8:00 – 8:30 pm – Prayers for Careers, Business, & Immigration. Led by the Rehoboth Prayer group.
Thursday: 8:00 – 8:30 pm
Friday: 8:00 – 8:30 pm – Prayer for spiritual growth. Led by the Threshing time prayer group.
